Directions to Flat
GENERAL DIRECTIONS
To Port Cogolin from Saint Maxime/Nice After the turn off for Port Grimaud on Route No 98 continue along main road until you see sign on right for Port Cogolin/Yotel. Turn off the road here and follow the road under the main road and at the roundabout (where the entrance to Port Cogolin is directly ahead) turn right. Almost immediately you will see a road on your left just after a small round hut for the security. Turn left here along beside the Gisclette river on your right – you will need to stop in the free underground car park which is immediately on the left just before the security barriers for the private estate. Then (1) go on foot to the garage parking to get the keys and (2) go to the apartment to get the remote control for the barrier. You can then (3) put your car if you have one in the car parking space. See detailed instructions below. To Port Cogolin from Centre Commerciale de La Foux/St Tropez Take direction towards Aix-Nice, Frejus-St Raphael, Ste Maxime. Go past the Total garage on the corner and almost immediately on right there is signpost for Port Cogolin/Cite Lacustre. Take slip road off – do not take first road off on right which is to a camp site but continue ahead over small bridge. Immediately after bridge turn right just before a small round security hut and drive along near the Gisclette river on your right - you will need to stop in the free underground car park which is immediately on the left just before the security barriers for the private estate. Then (1) go on foot to the garage parking to get the keys and (2) go to the apartment to get the remote control for the barrier. You can then (3) put your car if you have one in the car parking space. See detailed instructions below. |

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS
The road on the left is the entrance to port cogolin turn onto this road.
Continue down the road. Until you reach the barrier, for the first trip in your need to go and retrieve the remote control for the barrier and garage door. There is a carpark to the left of the barrier which you can use while retrieving the remote control.
Turn left into underground car park and find a public space to park in whilst you locate the keys.
After parking your car in the temporary underground car park walk past the barrier and walk down the road.
Follow the road to the end and around the bend.
You will come to the entrance to Parking 1 just to the right after this corner.
Go through the pedestrian entrance which is to the left of the entrance to the garage and at the end of the ramp turn immediately left. Pass several garages with doors until you find after about 50 metres on the left our parking space number 37 with a big sign that says “Private Appt 233”.
The keys for the apartment and the remote control for the barriers at the entrance of Port Cogolin and the Parking 1 garage (one remote is used for both) are stored in a key safe to the left of the cupboard at the back of our parking space. Enter the four digit combination which we will send separately and press down the small lever to the left.
You can then return to your car and bring it into the car park. The metal barrier in the car parking space can be lowered by hand. We recommend you leave it raised when you go out so nobody else uses the space.
Opposite the parking space a few steps along is a doorway leading to a set of stairs. Go up these stairs and head out taking the exit to the right. You will be opposite the apartment building ‘Batiment B’. These are all shown below.
You can then return to your car and bring it into the car park. The metal barrier in the car parking space can be lowered by hand. We recommend you leave it raised when you go out so nobody else uses the space.

Arrival Time
The apartment is available from 3 pm on the day of your arrival.
Keys and Remote Controls for Security Barriers and Car Park
The keys to the apartment are in a secure location in the car parking space. We will send you specific instruction on how to access the keys. If you have any problems gaining entry please call us on 0788 7598284 or 07747868106.
The remote control for the security barriers to the entry to Port Cogolin and security gate for the garage to Parking P1 are in the key safe. There is one remote control which operates both the security barriers at the entrance to the private estate in Port Cogolin and the security gate to the Parking P1. The small metal barrier in the parking space does not require a key but should be put up when you leave the space to ensure others do not park there.
To close the front door of the apartment you first have to have to turn the door handle upwards before you turn the key.
Electricity and Water Heating
To put on the electricity there is a panel on the left hand side as you enter the apartment. Put the large switch to the on position. It may have been left on by our agent to ensure the water is hot. For the water heater there is a separate switch on the same panel – which should be in the ON position which is down (marked on the panel). The room heaters are controlled from this panel and from a switch on each heating unit.
Swimming Pool Fob
There is a blue key fob for the swimming pool which should be on a string on the fishing boat hook by the sofa. Please make sure you leave this on the hook by the sofa when you leave the department. There is a spare key to the front door with the swimming pool fob.

Using Facilities in the Apartment
Wifi
Wifi is available at the apartment and is included in the rental. The network code and password will be provided before you arrive.
Air Conditioning
The apartment has an air conditioning unit in the living room which will cool most of the apartment. It has a remote control and can also be operated by the buttons on the top. Please make sure the flap on the exit pipe (which goes through the doors onto the balcony) is open on the balcony side before use. Use small remote – press ON then + or – to adjust temperature. Awning
The awning on the balcony is operated by a long handle on the left as you go out. Wind until the blind is fully out then wind back slightly. To close wind back - it is a bit stiff at first. Please close the awning if it is windy and when you go out.
Mosquito Protection
The incidence of mosquitos in the flat can be reduced by closing shutters and doors after dark. If required there is plug-in mosquito protection for the bedrooms. Plug in capsule of liquid into the diffuser – adjust the plug so that the liquid capsule is retained in vertical position. Plug the plug of the diffuser into the electric socket – light shows when it is working. For full effect plug in 30 mins before needed. When not in use take out from electric socket – leave capsule in place but keep it vertical/

The cutlery is in a drawer under the table.

Rubbish Bins
The rubbish and recycling bins are opposite the entrance to the stairs and lift next to the door into the garage. The recycling bins take paper, cartons, tin and bottles.
First-Aid Kit
The first aid kit is near tv/hi-fi unit and contains first aid equipment and also dressings for burns.
Washing-Machine Instructions
To operate the washing machine. Open the door by pressing button with key sign. Put clothes in and shut door. Put washing powder into first compartment of tray on right hand side of machine. Put dial onto 3 for long was and select temperature using dial that shows different temperatures. Press the button with a sign like a ! in a circle (button next to the one with the key sign). When it finishes washing press the button with the ! sign followed by the button to open the door that has the key sign. If washing machine does not come on check that it is plugged in by the head of the bunk bed near the door.
Dish Washer Instructions
Open using handle on front of machine and place dishwasher tablet in compartment. Close dishwasher and press button on the left which has a I below it and then press start in the middle of the large button to the right.

- first button (look like a brush) shows that machine is cleaning dishes and second sign (looks like a line with three s on top ) shows the machine is drying
- third button (looks like a tap) means you should check water is entering machine
- fourth button (looks like a two curved arrows) means salt is needed (available in cupboard below sink)
- fifth button (looks like a star) means rinse aid needed (available in cupboard below the sink)

Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is located 1 minute from the flat in the gardens to the left of the apartment – It is available to residents for the times shown on the board. A blue fob is required to unlock the gate into the swimming pool area. The blue key fob for the swimming pool can be found on a string on the fishing boat hook by the sofa. It is important not to lose the fob as there is only one issued at any time for the apartment. There is a spare key to the front door with the swimming pool fob.
Tennis Courts
There are tennis courts opposite the apartment block in Marines de Cogolin. You can access Marines de Cogolin via a gate on the other side of the Port. Sometimes the tennis courts are open otherwise you need to obtain a key from La Gardiennage (Caretaker) for the Cascadelle Building which overlooks the tennis courts. This is located at the right end of the building as you look at it from the tennis courts. There is then an hourly charge for using the courts.
Cycling
There are cycle paths all along the coast from St Tropez to St Maxime. You can join these at the entry to the Port. Bikes can be hired from La Foux.
Pilates

Crazy Golf
There is a crazy golf centre just opposite the entrance to the Port accessible by foot (10 mins) by car with free parking.

Luna Park found on the other side of La Foux roundabout has a variety of rides and attractions for all ages.

Boats can be hired with and without a permit from Port Grimaud Sud - Place Francois Spoerry.
Ten Pin Bowling
There is bowling alley with snooker tables on the left about 5 minutes along the road in the direction of St Maxime.

Doctors and Hospital
There is a doctors surgery which works on a first come first serve basis in Port Grimaud in the main part near the beach. If you go across La Foux heading towards La Croix Valmer there is a hospital to the right at the first roundabout about 5 minutes drive away.
Banks and Post Office
There are cash machines at the Geant supermarket complex and two banks. There is a post box on the way in to the apartment to the left not long after you go through the barrier. The nearest post office is in Cogolin. You go straight up the road from the roundabout at Cogolin and the post office is on your right.
